Training & Experience
My education includes a Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and a postdoctoral fellowship in social and behavioral science from Harvard School of Public Health.
I have clinical knwledge & experience working with individuals and couples in traditional and non-traditional relationships and various family structures, individuals navigating life with ADHD and folks struggling with anxiety and depression.
I have published scientific research papers in the area of health behaviour change.
I have worked with and continue to welcome LGBTQIA2S+ and racialized folks, and immigrants into my practice.
About me
I immigrated to Canada 20-something years ago and have lived in Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec, and for a short while in Boston, Massachusetts. I currently live in a small town in the Laurentians area north of Montreal, with my partner and three cats.
My clinical practice draws from my academic studies in psychology and public health, my clinical experience in various settings (mental health clinic, private practice, hospital), and my lived experience as an immigrant cis white woman.
Every day, in my work with clients, I learn new things about people, the world, and myself, which is a grounding experience and a great privilege. I value authentic human connection and care deeply about animals and the environment. In my spare time, I enjoy reading about folks with different perspectives and life experiences than mine. Oh, and I LOVE coffee.
